The Scottish Government's Energy Efficiency and Microgeneration Unit is responsible for the strategic development of energy efficiency and microgeneration policy. The unit oversees and funds the work of the Energy Saving Trust and Carbon Trust in Scotland to provide energy efficiency and microgeneration advice and support to the business, public and domestic sectors. In addition we fund interest-free loans to the public and small business sectors for the installation of energy saving measures and renewables technologies. Our key commitments include securing Scotland's fair share of the level of Carbon Emissions Reducation Target investment and delivery of Energy Efficiency Action Plan for Scotland in accordance with the Climate Change Bill.
