The Energy Saving Trust is one of Scotland and the UK's leading organisations addressing the damaging effects of climate change.
It aims to cut carbon emissions - the main greenhouse gas causing climate change - by promoting the sustainable and efficient use of energy.
The Energy Saving Trust in Scotland is part of a UK-wide non-profit organisation providing impartial information and advice. It manages five advice centres in Scotland specifically designed to help consumers take action to save energy. The Energy Saving Scotland advice centres aim to reach 250,000 people every year.
The Energy Saving Trust's work in Scotland is funded by the Scottish Government.

Compressed air is a versatile, reliable and safe way of transmitting energy; it is considered as the fourth utility after electricity, gas and water and is used by almost all industrial businesses.
According to the British Compressed Air Society (BCAS) and the Carbon Trust, over 10% of the electricity supplied to industry is used to compress air. It accounts for almost 15,000 GWHr of electricity; in today's terms this equate to a cost in excess of £1 billion per year.

We work closely with BCAS with a view to influence the compressed air industry to take a more transparent approach in developing, auditable, life cycle cost information to assist customers in selecting and utilising the most reliable and energy efficient compressed air system.
