Ayr Racecourse is the premier racecourse in Scotland hosting up to 30 race meetings a year and home to the Coral Scottish Grand National and William Hill (Ayr) Gold Cup Festivals.

Ayr offers first class flat racing and quality jumps racing and is the only Grade 1 track in Scotland.

Attracting not only the leading horses in the sport but also the top jockeys and trainers with names like Tony McCoy, Graham Lee, Ruby Walsh, Paul Hanagan, Kieren Fallon and Frankie Dettori regular visitors to the track.

Set in 155 acres Ayr Racecourse is one of the best viewing courses in the land being predominantly flat.  It is a round track of approximately one mile four furlongs with a six furlong straight course on which the William Hill (Ayr) Gold Cup is run.

Horse racing in Ayr dates back to the 17th century with the current course having opened in 1907 for flat racing and national hunt racing being introduced in 1950.

Car parking

Complimentary car parking is available onsite close to the main stand

Special needs provision

Lift access is available to all floors in the Events Centre and disabled toilet facilities are located on all floors.  There is also disabled car parking onsite.

There is an induction loop system is available in both the Ayrshire Suite (exhibition) and Princess Royal Suite (conference).

Evacuations

In the event of an emergency (bomb scare, fire hazard etc) all areas must be evacuated.  Please listen to announcements over the public address system.  Any emergency should be reported immediately to a member of the Racecourse staff.
